About
Ruth Nuñez is a copywriter, editor, and web designer with more than 30 years of experience creating clear, compelling copy and concepts for print and web. Fresh out of college, she worked as a university professor and translator in Orléans, France, then as a copywriter for J.C. Penney Co. in Manhattan. Eventually she escaped NYC to enjoy the small town life of San Francisco. There she rode the tech boom, developing characters for computer games and writing for Fortune 100 telecom and computer networking companies. On the day she looked out her window and yelled “hi” to a life-sized painted image of a delivery person on the back of a Staples truck, she knew it was time for a reality check. So she moved to Penn Valley to learn about agriculture, XHTML coding, and the difference between a rattlesnake and a gopher snake.
Ruth holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism, an associate of science degree in environmental horticulture and, whenever possible, her husband’s hand. She also owns Studio Nuñez and is changing the world one sentence at a time.
Hello Ruth …I thoroughly enjoyed reading your Blog on Jim Gates. I’ve lived in Nevada County for 27 years, knew Francis Gates many years back when she was a school librarian, and have ordered Gates beef at a local restaurant (yumm’mm!) on many occasions. But your Blog put a whole new twist on what we “think” we know about the best beef in town. As it turned out, I knew very little and, I had a great time learning more.
Amusing and informative commentary, photos, and video … all the best, Dolly Oliver
